The Officer-in-Charge of the Police Media Division, Chief Inspector Nirmala Mahakumara passed away on May 9 at the age of 52 following a brief illness.
Mahakumara joined the Sri Lanka Police as a Sub-Inspector in February 1996. He served with dedication in the Police Media Division for over a decade, becoming a respected and familiar figure in police communications and media circles.
His remains lie at the Mahinda Funeral Parlour, Calido Road, Kalutara North. The funeral will take place on May 12 in Kalutara. He leaves a legacy of professionalism and service.
