The Under-15 Division Two Inter-Schools Cricket Tournament will start next week with 84 teams in 14 groups competing with the event conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.
The champions and the runners-up of last year’s Division Three Tournament President’s College, Embilipitiya and Ranabima Royal College, Gannoruwa have been promoted to this tournament.
Also, both semi-finalists Dhammissara National School Nattandiya and Siddhartha MMV, Balapitiya have also been promoted to this tournament.
Lyceum, Wattala emerged champions and Sri Sumangala National School, Wariyapola were the runners-up in last year’s Division Two Tournament.
The first round matches (210 matches) will be played on a league basis in 14 groups on or before June 24 and the best two teams from each group will be selected with 32 teams qualifying for the second round. The second round will be played on a knock-out basis.
