In a vibrant celebration of academic excellence and perseverance, the Management & Science Institute (MSI) held its annual President’s and Dean’s Awards Ceremony at the MSI Auditorium recently. The event recognized 141 outstanding students from both diploma and degree programmes for their academic performance during the 2023 and 2024 academic years.
This year’s theme, “Celebrating Academic Resilience and Excellence in a Post-Pandemic Era,” highlighted the extraordinary efforts of students who overcame the challenges of a disrupted learning environment and thrived in their academic journeys.
Presiding over the ceremony was Professor Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, Founder and President of Management & Science University (MSU) and Management & Science Institute (MSI), who delivered an inspiring keynote address. He emphasized the role of determination, innovation, and adaptability in achieving success, particularly during times of global uncertainty.
“Today’s awardees are a testament to the resilience and strength of our youth,” he said. “Their success reminds us that challenges are opportunities in disguise. As we look ahead, we must continue fostering a spirit of leadership, curiosity, and global citizenship.
Also gracing the occasion was MSU Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Junainah Ab Hameed, along with members of the senior management team, lecturers, staff, and the families of award recipients. Together, they witnessed a momentous occasion that not only acknowledged academic achievement but also celebrated the values of dedication, integrity, and lifelong learning.
The President’s Awards was presented to students who demonstrated exceptional academic performance, leadership, and contribution to institutional activities, while the Dean’s Award recognized consistent academic excellence within specific faculties. These awards were presented separately for diploma and degree programme achievers, reflecting MSI’s commitment to honouring merit at every level of education.
Throughout the ceremony, students were applauded not just for their grades, but for their ability to adapt to new learning technologies, engage in community-based projects, and uphold the standards of MSU and MSI’s vision for producing globally competitive graduates.
The event also featured musical performances and heartfelt speeches and parents and lecturers meetings with students, and students expressed their gratitude to the lecturers, peers, and families for their support during an unprecedented academic journey.
