Ananda College clinched the Inter-Schools Premier Trophy when they defeated St. Benedict’s College 25-10 in the final encounter played at Havelock Park yesterday.
The Anandians collected their points from four tries, one conversion and one penalty after having led 17-5 at half time. The Benedictines responded with two unconverted tries.
Earlier, Maharagama Central College won the Chairman’s Trophy when they edged out Lalith Athulathmudali College, Ratmalana 12-8 in the final played at the same venue.
The winners collected their points from one goal and one try after trailing 5-8 at half time while Lalith Athulathmudali responded with one try and one penalty.
