The annual Inter Sussex Athletic Competition of the Sussex College Network, the largest English-medium school network in Sri Lanka, was held in grand style on April 26 and 27 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Athletes from 20 Sussex colleges across the country came together for two exciting days filled with energy, teamwork, and friendly competition. The final day of the event was graced by Major General K.N.D. Karunapala as the Chief Guest, along with the Founder and Chairman of the Sussex College Network, K.A. Sunil Jayatissa. Their presence made the event even more special and memorable for the students.
After a series of thrilling events, Sussex College Negombo proudly took home the first place. Sussex College Ratnapura came in second while Sussex College Kandy secured third place.
A special moment of pride was when Nishari Sahansa from Ratnapura was named the Promising athlete of the competition for her outstanding performance.
