The Miss Universe, Sri Lanka franchise under the leadership of National Director Nirmal Bandara, got off to a flying start last year, after a six-year lapse. Therefore since 2018, there hasn’t been a Sri Lankan representative at the International pageant. With Bandara spearheading the organising of this prestigious pageant for the 2nd consecutive year, this year it has gathered momentum and its making major progress towards a grand finale that will take the winner to the main pageant, and hopefully a win for Sri Lanka.
