Disali Lokuwithana with her Coach Asela Pradeep
Disali Lokuwithana from Royal Institute, Nugegoda emerged as the Girls’ Under-13 champion at the 49th Sri Lanka National Age Group Aquatic Championships, held at the Sugathadasa Stadium Swimming Pool Complex in Colombo.
Disali, who is also a member of the Tornadoes Swimming Club, Bandaragama won the 100m freestyle with a new meet record of 1:08:27s, 50m freestyle with a new meet record of 30:58s, 50m breaststroke with a time of 39:81s and the 50m backstroke with a time of 37:08s.
Disali was coached by Asela Pradeep, who represented Sri Lanka at the 10th FINA World Swimming Championships in Barcelona, Spain 2003.
