Miss Universe generally has fewer restrictions on marital status and motherhood, while Miss World has a more strict age range, with both organizations allowing transgender women to compete.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown:

1. Eligibility:

* Miss Universe:

Previously had an age limit of 18-27, but now has no upper age limit. They also allow married, divorced, and mothers to compete.

* Miss World:

Generally has a smaller age range, typically between 17 and 27, with a focus on natural-born women and allowing transgender contestants.

2. Focus:

* Miss Universe: Traditionally emphasizes physical beauty, grace, and poise.

* Miss World: Strives to be more inclusive, valuing a wider range of talents, intelligence, kindness, and charitable work.

3. History and Context:

* Miss Universe:

Founded in 1952, it was initially intended to be a more commercial and glamorous pageant.

* Miss World:

Started in 1951, it aimed to be a celebration of beauty and youth, but has evolved to focus more on charitable work and community involvement.

In essence, Miss Universe is more focused on beauty standards, while Miss World is more focused on a broader concept of beauty that includes inner qualities and a sense of social responsibility
