Vesak is a very sacred and historical festival in the world. Vesak is the most important festival for Buddhists.
It is a religious festival in Sri Lanka.
On Vesak Full Moon Poya Day, we mark Prince Siddhartha’s birth, Enlightenment, and Gautama Buddha’s Parinibbana.
On Vesak Poya day, some people organise dansal, observe sil, make Vesak lanterns, and decorate their houses. Vesak is a very wonderful and colourful festival.
This day Buddhists conduct Aamisa Pooja and Prathipaththi Pooja.
It’s celebrated in a lot of countries, such as Sri Lanka, India, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand.
