The exhibition “Glimpses of the Masters” opened at Sky Gallery on Wednesday will continue until June 9, daily from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

The exhibition is a stunning new visual journey through some of the greatest artistic achievements in human history. Curated by the Fareed Uduman Artforum, this exhibition brings together an expansive collection of iconic paintings, transporting visitors through centuries of genius — from the Renaissance to Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, and the Modernist era.

Sky Gallery has quickly emerged as one of the most unique and enriching cultural spaces. Known for its impeccable presentations of museum-quality canvas reproductions, the gallery offers audiences an opportunity rarely found outside of the world’s most celebrated art museums. Each artwork is displayed in the original size and proportion, framed with great attention to detail, allowing visitors to experience the scale, depth, and intimacy intended by the original masters.

Last year, Sky Gallery made waves with its extraordinary exhibition “Masterpieces Unveiled”, which featured 50 of the most significant paintings in Western art history. The show was met with overwhelming public interest, drawing large crowds and sparking a revived enthusiasm for classical and modern art among Sri Lanka’s art-loving community. Many visitors described the experience as “transformative,” marvelling at the lifelike presence and emotional impact of seeing these works at full scale.

With “Glimpses of the Masters”, the gallery builds on that momentum, offering both returning guests and first-time visitors a new and expanded experience. The exhibition features a curated selection of works by some of the most revered names in art: Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Cezanne, Picasso, Caravaggio, Van Eyck, Monet, Matisse, Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh, Gauguin and many others.

The exhibition also unveils works by Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo and Gustav Klimt. These visionary artists bring new textures, emotional depths, and artistic philosophies into the fold, enriching the exhibition’s narrative and expanding its reach into the world of modern art.

“Glimpses of the Masters” is not only an art show but also an experience of cultural time-travel — a rare chance to stand before the genius of the past and see, in vivid clarity, the works that have shaped human creativity and consciousness. This exhibition is designed to submerge visitors in a world where time dissolves and the brushstrokes of history breathe anew.
