EDB hosts networking session for new exporters and entrepreneurs

The Export Development Board (EDB) conducted a networking and knowledge-sharing session with established exporters in five product sectors (tea, spices and coconut-based products, processed foods and cashew products, ornamental fish, and herbal and ayurvedic products), for new exporters and entrepreneurs at the EDB-NDB Tower, Colombo 2 on May 22.

Around 100 new exporters and entrepreneurs, including SME direct exporters and indirect exporters, along with leading exporters were present.

The event featured a panel of speakers who shared their expertise on various topics critical to succeeding in the global marketplace:

Among the resourcepersons were Chairman, Lumbini Aquaria International, Vibhu Perera, Director, Basilur Tea Exports, Sumith Jayawickrama, Managing Director, Joint Agri Products Ceylon, Vernon Abeyratne, Senior Research Scientist, Link Natural Products, Chamari Wickramathilaka and Managing Director, Rancrisp Marketing, Samantha Thamel.
