Asia Securities Padel Classic ends in style

Rukmal Cooray and Shayanika Fernando stole the spotlight as they clinched the Mixed Doubles ‘A’ title at the Asia Securities Padel Classic held at the CR and FC Padel Classic Courts in Colombo.

The pair displayed outstanding skill and teamwork throughout the tournament, eventually overcoming a strong field to lift the champion’s trophy.

In a proud moment, Dumith Fernando, Chairman of Asia Securities Private Limited, handed over the winning trophy to the delighted duo.

The Asia Securities Padel Classic attracted many top players and padel enthusiasts from around the country. The event was played in a festive atmosphere with intense matches and friendly rivalry.

Several categories, including Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles events, were worked off on the modern courts at the CR and FC, one of the leading venues for padel in Sri Lanka.

Organisers said the tournament was a great success and promised an even bigger event next year to promote the fast-growing sport of padel in the island.
