RIDE, Sri Lanka’s leading locally made energy drink, announced their partnership as the official energy drink partner of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) at an event held in Colombo.
The partnership with SLC represents a significant step forward in RIDE’s growth, reinforcing its position as the leading, locally produced energy drink brand in the country under the renewed brand promise of ‘Real Energy.’
The partnership also supports RIDE’s ambition to enter global markets, given Sri Lanka Cricket’s stature as a powerful ambassador for the country on the international stage.
More than a sponsorship, this collaboration is a celebration of energy, performance and a shared passion for excellence.
Launched in 2020, RIDE has made tremendous progress, catering to the modern trade, general trade and food service sector.

The partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket coincides with the re-launch of the RIDE energy drink with a refreshed, re-energised look. The re-launch highlights the brands commitment to providing real energy, meaning RIDE enables consumers to live life to the fullest by fueling their day-to-day challenges while giving them extra energy to enjoy their passions.
RIDE’s current portfolio includes RIDE Classic, RIDE Redberry and RIDE Sugar-Free – now joined by the newly launched RIDE Glow Apple, which adds a fresh twist to the category.
As part of their rebranding efforts, the brand is also driving innovation through RIDE-based cocktails, catering to new consumption trends and lifestyle moments.
Commenting on the partnership, Arjuna Kumarasinghe, Managing Director of Cargills Food & Beverage Ltd., said: “Cricket is deeply rooted in Sri Lankan culture. It is part of daily life and connects communities across the country.”
“Our purpose for RIDE is simple. We bring energy to Sri Lankans whenever, wherever, and whoever they are. Partnering with Sri Lanka Cricket, who embody passion, resilience, and unity, perfectly reflects this purpose.”
“We are pleased to welcome RIDE as our Official Energy Drink Partner – a partnership we greatly value. I am confident that through this collaboration with Sri Lanka Cricket, Cargills will be able to elevate its energy drink brand to its desired markets,” said Chryshantha Kapuwatte, Assistant Secretary, SLC.
The event brought together key figures from both cricket and business, including National Test Captain Dhananjaya de Silva, ODI and T20I Captain Charith Asalanka and Women’s Team Captain Chamari Atapattu.
Players from the Men’s and Women’s national teams were also in attendance, alongside senior management from leading supermarket chains, star hotels and top restaurant groups.
