Wesley College powered their way to an emphatic 63-15 victory over Science College, Mount Lavinia in their Inter-Schools Under-19 League Rugby Tournament encounter played at Havelock Park yesterday.
The Wesleyites ran down as many as nine tries and converted all of them while Science College managed to score only one goal, one try and one penalty.
Wesley made their intentions clear from the kick-off in their League opening fixture and ran circles around the Science College defence while scoring at regular intervals.
In fact, the Wesleyites sealed the contest even before half time as they went on to built up a commanding 35-10 advantage at the short whistle.
Wesley went on to add five more tries in the second half with a dominant performance as they completed a smashing victory in their opening outing.
Full back Abdul Hadi had an outstanding game for Wesley as he converted eight tries with a fine kicking performance while Fawaz converted the last try.
