On Poson Day, June 10, it was a sight to behold to see foreign visitors joining the locals in Buddhist rituals at the Gangaramaya Temple.
Sri Lanka enjoyed a good tourism season until May and continues to have a strong number of arrivals yet.
There is a new drive to boost Tourism all year-round. This appears to be gathering momentum and it is great to see the tour operators including city temples into the site- seeing program on these special days so that tourists get a first-hand experience by participating.
