The Royal College Hostel is one of the oldest and most prestigious hostels in Sri Lanka, accommodating over 350 students from every corner of the island.
With a proud history of over a century, it has nurtured generations of students who have excelled in academics, sports, and leadership, shaping many of the nation’s finest minds.
The most anticipated event of the hostel calendar, Hostel Day, was successfully held on the of May 31, 2025. The celebration featured cultural performances, speeches, and heartfelt tributes that showcased the unity and spirit of the hostel community.
Nalaka Kaluwewa, Secretary, Ministry of Education and an old hosteller, attended as the chief guest.
The evening highlighted the enduring legacy and camaraderie of Royal College Hostel residents, reinforcing its status as a cornerstone of student life and tradition.
