Arkia Airlines is resuming its direct route to Sri Lanka for a limited time as part of preparations for the Tishrei holidays.
The decision comes in response to the increase in the number of Israelis visiting the island and early demand for holiday travel.
“We are attentive to the desires of travellers and are already preparing for the Tishrei holidays, which are characterised by particularly high demand,” said Vice President of Marketing at Arkia, Einat Younger Carmeli.
“In light of the demand and the love of the Israeli public for Sri Lanka — a destination that combines breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and dreamy beaches suitable for those who want relaxation and for surfers looking for the perfect wave — we chose to renew the route in a direct format.
We call on the public to prepare in advance and secure a place for themselves at particularly attractive prices,” she said.
The direct flights to Sri Lanka will be operated during the autumn holidays, with five flights scheduled every Saturday from September 21 to October 19.
The route will be served by Arkia’s Airbus A330 aircraft on nonstop flights lasting approximately eight hours.
Scheduled departure dates are September 21 and 28, and October 5, 12, and 19. Arkia will also offer vacation packages to the destination.
