Spain is one of the fastest growing summer markets for Sri Lanka Tourism. Therefore Sri Lanka Promotion Bureau (SLPB) is focusing on the Spanish market this year in consideration to the recorded market trends and the increase in popularity of Sri Lanka. In tune with this the social media influencer FAM trip was organized as part of Sri Lanka Tourism’s strategy to promote and market Sri Lanka as a preferred destination in the Spanish market.
The group of social media influencers selected for this purpose arrived in Sri Lanka on an invitation extended by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and the Sri Lanka Embassy in France- (with France embassy being accredited to perform the duties for the country in the absence of an embassy in Spain) which was arranged for them from end May 2025, concluding the trip last weekend.
While exploring Sri Lanka, touring various iconic locations including Sigiriya,Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Polonnaruwa, Colombo and Bentota, the influencers shared the highlights of their journey through digital and social media platforms.
