South Indian cinema legend Mohanlal has chosen Sri Lanka as the perfect backdrop for his latest Malayalam film Patriot, marking his second visit in recent months for filming.
Welcomed warmly by Sri Lanka Tourism at Bandaranaike International Airport, the superstar’s presence highlights the island’s growing reputation as a cinematic paradise.
“This is our second schedule in Sri Lanka. Last time, We filmed here for 5–6 days, and this time we are filming for 10 days. We found Sri Lanka to be a truly filming-friendly destination,” said Mohanlal, expressing his admiration for the island.
