The Yeti Open Squash Championship 2025 concluded in spectacular fashion at the Air Force Courts in Ratmalana after 10 days of high-intensity play involving some of the nation’s most promising and top-ranked athletes.

The event, a national ranking tournament officially endorsed by Sri Lanka Squash (SLS), drew in over 250 participants from across the island, reflecting a powerful resurgence of interest in the sport.

This year’s tournament was proudly powered by Yeti, Sri Lanka’s leading brand in isotonic and functional health beverages, reinforcing their long-term commitment to empowering athletic performance at the grassroots and national levels.

Gracing the closing ceremony as Chief Guest was Dr. Dilshan Balasuriya, Director of Yeti and a strong advocate of athlete-centered innovation in sports nutrition.

Malik Perera, Chief Executive Officer of Yeti, attended as the Guest of Honour along with SLS President Dhammika Wijesundara and Eranda Geeganage, Vice-President SLS.

The championship also featured a prominent Yeti Experience Zone, where athletes and spectators could sample the company’s flagship isotonic drink formulated to optimise hydration, electrolyte balance and recovery.

The brand’s presence was warmly welcomed by the squash community, with many young players expressing gratitude for corporate backing at a time when local sports require renewed support.

SLS officials extended their appreciation to Yeti for elevating the tournament’s visibility and professionalism. This is the fourth consecutive year that Yeti has come forward to sponsor this tournament.

Yeti continues to lead the way in supporting Sri Lankan sports, not only through product innovation but through meaningful, grassroots engagement proving once again that hydration, health and high performance go hand-in-hand.
