St. Peter’s College edged out Science College 29-23 in their Inter-Schools Under-19 League Rugby Tournament match played at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
The defending champions built up a commanding 19-6 lead at half time and went on to register their third successive victory of the tournament.
Meanwhile, S. Thomas’ College powered their way to a massive 50-35 win over the giant-killers Mahanama College in another encounter played at Mount Lavinia yesterday.
Wesley College enjoyed a convincing 24-3 win over St. Anthony’s College in their fixture played at the Nittawela Stadium in Kandy after leading 12-3 at half time.
Sri Sumangala College created a major upset when they defeated the more fancied Vidyartha outfit 24-12 in their encounter played in Kandy yesterday.
