The ASOCIO digital summit 2025 themed “Artificial Intelligence shaping digital Asia” and annual awards presentation ceremony will take place on November 11 in Taipei, Taiwan.
Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) is an ICT federation organised by ICT associations representing 24 economies throughout the Asia Pacific. Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Lao PDR, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam are presently affiliated to ASSOCIA.
A large number of IT organisations from Sri Lanka attend this event annually and a considerable number of awards have been received by them each year. Sri Lanka is an associate economy and Federation of Information Technology FITIS is the franchise affiliated partner for ASOCIO in Sri Lanka. Chairman of FITIS, Dr. Dayan Rajapakse said, “Since 2023, ASOCIO has been focusing on the theme “Digital Asia” as its core initiative, hosting the Digital Summit annually at year-end in its member economies.
“This program covers topics such as digital talent cultivation, digital transformation, smart government, and cloud services aiming to foster a dominant digital presence in the Asia-Oceania region,” he said.
The ASOCIO President Dr. Brian Shen has committed to promoting the IT industry among member countries sharing a comprehensive policy framework facilitating resource sharing, and actively supporting investment opportunities. His dedication aims to enhance the region’s IT infrastructure, foster collaboration among member countries, and attract international investments, accelerating the growth and development of the technology sector.
