RDB Bank Ja-Ela branch relocates to new premises

RDB Bank, the premier state owned development bank in Sri Lanka, relocated its Ja-Ela branch in the Western Province to new premises on July 7 as part of a project to modernise its branch network.

The opening ceremony was held with the participation of the bank’s Chairman, Lasantha Fernando, and Board Directors Ramani Wijerathna and W. Ranaweera upon the invitation of the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer (Coverup Duties) D.M.T.S. Kumara.

With the aim of enhancing customer service and operational efficiency, the branch was shifted to a modern environment equipped with improved facilities. The new location, on Negombo Road, Ja-Ela, offers advanced infrastructure, expanded customer services, and modern digital banking facilities.

Bank officials highlighted that this relocation is part of a broader project aimed at providing better accessibility and superior services to meet the growing needs of customers.

Commenting on the occasion RDB Bank Chairman Lasantha Fernando said, ”The Ja-Ela branch of RDB Bank is a unique branch because it is able to provide financial facilities to the industrial, commercial and business community around it at concessional interest rates. Through this, our aim is to make them strong stakeholders in the national economy. For that purpose, the staff of the Ja-Ela branch is also ready to provide you with fast and efficient service with modernised facilities.”

Coinciding with this occasion, services such as loan disbursements,deposit collections, and QR service was also provided. The occasion was successfully organised by the branch, district, and provincial staff under the guidance of Western Province Regional General Manager Mrs. Manojika Herath, District Manager Ms. Geetha Perera, and Assistant District Managers.Branch Manager Kanishka Bandara thanked all the customers including the corporate management for their presence on the occasion
