St. Anthony’s College rallied around magnificently to beat their hometown rivals Dharmaraja College 36-17 in their Inter-Schools Under-19 League Rugby Tournament Bowl Championship match played at the Nittawela Stadium in Kandy yesterday.
Meanwhile, Science College recorded a morale boosting 28-16 victory over Vidyartha College in another Bowl Championship fixture played at Mount Lavinia. Thurstan College produced a fine all-round performance as they held the favourites Mahanama College to a thrilling 19-19 draw in their Bowl Championship match played at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday.
