Five students from Puttalam win 15 medals in international Taekwondo competitions in Malaysia

The students who took part in the 17th CK Classic International Open Taekwondo Championship in Malaysia have made Sri Lanka proud by winning over 15 medals.

Among the participants in these competitions were Ishara Piumali Samarakoon (coach and athlete) -1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals; N.E. Ashen Vishmika (Andrew’s National School, Puttalam) – 3 gold medals; A.R.F. Hana Mazyath Sara (School of Excellence, Puttalam) – 2 gold and 1 silver medals; M.H. Reema Zain (Zahira Primary School, Puttalam) – 2 gold medals; M.M. Shadhin Ahamed (Zahira National School, Puttalam) – 3 silver medals.

The five winners were welcomed recently at the Phoenix International School, Puttalam, under the patronage of the Puttalam Phoenix Academy administration, along with the Mayor of the Puttalam Municipal Council, Eng. Rinsad Ahmad.
