CCC will meet the Tamil Union in the SLC Major Club Limited Overs Cricket Tournament second semi-final under lights at the CCC Grounds in Maitland Crescent today.
The Tamil Union were the runners-up in Group ‘A’ with four wins out of six games. Tamil Union beat Police SC, Panadura SC, Ace Capital CC and Baduraliya SC in the first round fixtures and lost to the NCC and Chilaw Marians CC.
Meanwhile, CCC were the champions of Group ‘B’ with five wins out of six games. CCC beat Colts CC, Bloomfield BRC, Nugegoda S & WC and Kurunegala YCC and lost to Moors SC.
CCC will be led by Dhananjaya de Silva and Minod Bhanuka will captain the Tamil Union.
Police SC have already advanced to the final after overcoming Colts CC by four wickets in the first semi-final played at the same venue.
