Traditional festivities gain top priority and more so with the Swiss Embassy and its people when they celebrate their founding anniversary in the month of August. This tradition dates back to 1291 and the unity they have achieved is no surprise.
Twenty six individual canton flags, fly alongside the grand national flag, the white cross against the red background. In keeping with this traditional festivities, the Swiss Embassy in collaboration with Mount Lavinia Hotel who have earned a name as masters of cuisines, will as from August 15 till August 27 unveil an unusual concept of ‘Swissness’ with their restaurant ‘Colombo Swiss House’.
This unusual and amazing restaurant is in the heart of Colombo at 138/4, Kynsey Road, Colombo 7 (next to the UNOPS office).
Needless to say the menu will reflect the culinary tradition of the cantons French, German, Italian and Swiss cuisine. So here’s the opportunity to enjoy the gastronomical treat of Swiss dishes such as Raclette and Fondue accompanied with Swiss wine to your heart’s content in an authentic Stubli which without exaggeration reflects a real Swiss atmosphere.
