The beauty of dawn

21 March, 2021

I opened my windows to a bright sunny morning. The sun was spreading its tentacles like a golden octopus rising from the sky trying to peep through the window. The dawn breeze brushed past my ears like its whispering “good morning.” The children were playing various games gleefully as their laughter echoed in the air.

The birds were cheerfully chirping melodious tunes on the trees. The bees were buzzing around flowers deciding on which ones to drink nectar from.

The dewdrops on the flowers looked like tiny crystals shining in the morning sun. The morning breeze carried the aroma of freshly baked bread.

The trees were swaying in the morning breeze so beautifully.

It felt as if I had woken up in heaven. I stretched my arms to reach a bit higher with a smile. I looked forward to an exciting day ahead.
