Observer-SLT Mobitel Selection Panel meet to pick school cricket award winners

The Selection Panel to pick the winners of the 43rd Sunday Observer-SLT Mobitel School Cricketer of the Year awards held its meeting that took place at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo on Friday.

After examining all the records, progress, performance and achievements of players and teams in the both the girls and boys categories for 2020-21, the winners and runners-up were found for the awards ceremony that will be held on a date and place that is expected to be announced shortly.

Cricketers who excelled in the inter school division one, two and three are eligible to receive their coveted awards for best batter, bowler, fielder and all-rounder along with the runners-up.

The best school teams in each province will also be eligible for awards.

Voting for the Most Popular Schoolboy and Schoolgirl is now taking place and the vote count published every week.

The winners in these two categories will also receive their awards at the Ceremony like in previous years.
