Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 21 runs in their Super Four match of the Asia Cup at the Premadasa stadium in Colombo yesterday.

Defending 257 Sri Lanka bowled out Bangladesh for 236 as skipper Dasun Shanaka led from the front capturing three wickets followed by Maheesh Theekshana claiming three wickets.

Earlier Sri Lanka put into bat reached 257 for 9 with top scorer Sadeera Samarawickrema stroking 93 in 72 balls before he was dismissed in the last ball of the innings caught on the mid wicket boundary.

He hit eight fours and two sixes after Kusal Mendis set the course with 50.
