Hogwarts

23 January, 2022

Hogwarts is a marvellous, magical place created by the famous author J.K. Rowling. Hogwarts School of Magic and Wizadry is on a hilltop with its tall towers scraping the sky.

Hogwarts Castle has long corridors, creepy dungeons, endless spiral staircases, talking portraits, and nice classrooms.

The best part of the castle is the great hall. The students have their meals here with the mouth-watering smells of the sumptuous food made by the house elves wafting around.

Gryffindor,Hufflepuff, Rowenclaw and Slytherin are the four school houses. Each house tower has a warm, cosy common room and separate dormitories for boys and girls.

Day and night owls soar in the sky carrying letters. There is a big lake in front of the castle and merpeople and the giant squid live in it.

The three green houses containing the magical plants used for ‘Horbology’ are in the grounds a few feet away.

The ‘Whamping Willow’ stands swaying its dangerous branches in the breeze.

The ‘Forbidden Forest’ is out of bounds for every student as it is full of monsters and magical creatures.

Close to the Forest is the cabin and pumpkin patch of Hagrid, the gamekeeper of Hogwarts.

The Quidditch Stadium is one of the favourite places of the Hogwarts students. There are six golden loops, three each at the two ends with seats high in the air to see the game properly as it is played with broom sticks.

Out of the Hogwarts Grounds is the only non muggle wizard village called Hogsmeade.

Every Harry Potter fan would love to attend this school and so would I.
