The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management Studies, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka recently.
The MoU aims to achieve the professional development of the undergraduates and graduates of the Department of HR Management, sharing the experiences and facilities offered at CIPM.
A signing ceremony was conducted at the Rajarata University., Vice-Chancellor of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Prof. G. A. S. Ginigaddara, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Prof. P. M. B. Jayathilake the Heads of the Departments, and students were present. Representing the CIPM, Treasurer, CIPM Executive Council Col. (Retd) S. Jayawickrama, CEO U.A.C. Obeysekere, Director, Professional and Academic Affairs, G. Weerathunge, Director Operations Himali Dasanayake and - Head of Business School, Anushka Earskin were present.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Ginigaddara, emphasised the importance of collaboration between academics and professionals of this country for the benefit of students, HR professionals, and the managerial community of this country.
She highlighted the importance of joining professional organizations of the calibre of CIPM and requested students to join CIPM for their continuous professional development.
