For the first time after nearly four years, Sri Lanka tourism was able to increase the daily arrival target of 2,500 to nearly double as the first four days of December brought over 20, 766 tourists to Sri Lanka.

And as of yesterday Sri Lanka passed the magical mark of 1.5 million arrivals for 2023 which was the target set for year end. With the seasonal trend continuing and free visa policy bringing in more tourists Sri Lanka is expected to pass the 1.6 million arrivals mark for 2023 year end.

The outstation hotels too were making special arrangements to host Xmas and the festive season with a bang and standing to this occasion for the first time staff of Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort assembled and launched an eco-friendly Xmas tree last week.
