SLTPB and EU promote wellness tourism

German Influencer group visits Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) with the support of the European Union (EU) launched a wellness tourism campaign to position Sri Lanka as a premier wellness destination targeting German and French markets.

This initiative underscores Sri Lanka’s wellness offerings, such as authentic Ayurveda, Yoga, meditation, Pancha Karma, and Hela Wedakama, against the backdrop of the country’s abundant biodiversity.

Interface Tourism, the French PR Agency appointed by EU launched a multilingual microsite further enriching the campaign, acting as a comprehensive source of information and experiences related to Sri Lanka’s wellness offerings.

As part of the campaign, thirty Influencers from Germany and France selected by the French PR Agency embark on a journey through Sri Lanka to share the country’s wellness experiences on their social media platforms bringing to life the authentic and captivating aspects of their travel.

The first such group from Germany visited Sri Lanka from February 15-21. The group included social media influencers Lee Ann, Mark Rupp, Julia Haase, Philipp Heigel and Tom Juenemann.

During the tour, they enjoyed the country’s distinct landscapes, rich culture, and diverse wellness services. The Tour covered Colombo city, Minneriya Eco Park, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Kandy and Wadduwa.

Director/PR, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Ms. Madubhani Perera said that the local travel industry extended its generous hospitality by fully supporting to host the tour in Sri Lanka.
