In anticipation of a digital revolution, Colombo is abuzz with preparations to host a groundbreaking conference titled “Digital Public Infrastructure: Enable | Empower | Enrich” at the esteemed Grand Marquee, Taj Samudra, on March 26, 2024.
Jointly organized by the High Commission of India in Colombo, Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Technology, Government of Sri Lanka, this event is poised to redefine the landscape of digital governance and innovation in the region.
With a focus on exploring the transformative potential of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), the conference aims to facilitate seamless service delivery, foster community empowerment through inclusivity, and catalyse economic enrichment by fostering innovation. Drawing inspiration from the recent definition outlined in the G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration, DPI is envisioned as a suite of shared digital systems built on open technologies, aimed at providing equitable access to public and private services on a societal scale.
