A 3-date music tour with the French singer Charlie Motto organised by the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, together with the network of Alliances Françaises in Sri Lanka and the Maldives as part of the French Cultural Season 2024, will take place from October 29 to November 3.
Young French electropop artist Charlie Motto will enthrall audiences in Sri Lanka with her signature blend of soaring, melodies and dreamy and danceable beats.
The shows will be held on October 29 at The Warehouse Colombo from 7 pm, November 1 at TraxAhangama from 8.30 pm and November 3 at Atelier Kandy from 6 pm.
It is open to the public free.
The singer will also lead workshops for the students of Alliances Françaises in Colombo, Matara and Kandy during her tour.
Charlie’s unique sound combines French chanson and modern hyperpop with a touch of classical influence. Her recent debut EP, Citadelle, released in February 2024, has garnered praise from fans and critics alike, cementing her as one of the most promising new voices on the international electropop scene.
Originally from the south of France, Charlie Motto has gained recognition for her electrifying stage presence and crystalline vocals. A classically trained pianist and singer, she has seamlessly fused her influences from French polyphony, electropop and introspective songwriting into a sound that resonates with fans worldwide.
