The annual State Literary Awards ceremony will be held at Temple Trees on November 27 at 2 p.m. under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
It has been organised on the initiative of Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs Prof. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi.
Three authors will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of their significant contribution to
Sri Lankan literature during the ceremony. The recipients include Prof. Jinadasa Danansuriya – Sinhala language, Annalakshmi Rajadurai -Tamil language, and Prof. Walter Perera – English language.
The State Literary Festival is jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs, the Sri Lanka Arts Council, and the State Literary Advisory Council.
This event aims to promote literary excellence in the country while honouring those who have dedicated their work for the advancement of Sri Lankan literature.
