Have you ever thought about what makes you happy? This is a really important question to ask your selves. Happiness comes in many forms and with World Happiness Day on March 21 let’s see what happiness means to us.

It’s a day to remind us how important it is to be happy and to share that happiness with others. Happiness isn’t something you can hold in your hands like a toy, but it’s something you can always carry in your heart. Happiness can indeed be found in many things like your favourite toy, or your favourite chocolate, this will indeed give you a sense of happiness but the best kind of joy comes from giving happiness to others.

Have you ever smiled at someone and seen them smile back? Or helped a friend when they were feeling down? That’s happiness spreading like sunshine! When we smile, help, or say kind words, we not only make ourselves feel good, but we also make the world a brighter place.

Happiness doesn’t always come from big things, like getting a new toy or a surprise gift. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make us the happiest! Like playing outside on a sunny day, reading a favourite book, or laughing with your friends. It’s the moments when we feel warm inside, surrounded by people who care for us that we feel the best.

But did you know that happiness can also come by helping others? When we share with those who need it or cheer up a friend, we all feel a little bit better. That’s because happiness grows when it’s shared.

Think of sharing your extra toys, clothes or even some of your favourite food with those around you and the less fortunate. The inner happiness that radiates from these actions can truly make you feel on top of the word !

So, on World Happiness Day, let’s think about the little things that make us smile and the ways we can make others smile too. So share your toys with your siblings, draw a pretty picture for a friend, or say something nice to your teacher. Even saying “thank you” or “please” can make a big difference to someone’s day.

Happiness is about looking for the good in each day, even when things are hard. It’s about knowing that we can always choose to be kind, to laugh, and to be grateful for what we have.

Let’s all celebrate World Happiness Day by spreading joy and kindness wherever we go. Because when we all do our part, the whole world becomes a happier place!

Remember, happiness is contagious—let’s all share it today!

See you next week
