A salary increase will be made for 10 categories of Government employees which will come into effect from January 1, 2025.
The monthly salary of a Grade III Office Assistant will be increased by Rs. 5,450, Grade II by Rs. 8,760, Grade I by Rs. 10,950, and special services by Rs. 13,980. The salary of a Grade III driver will be increased by Rs. 6,960, Grade II by Rs. 9,990, Grade I by Rs. 13,020 and a Special Grade driver by Rs. 16,340.
For Samurdhi Development Officers/ Agricultural Research and Production Assistants: Grade III will be increased by Rs. 8,340, Grade II by Rs. 11,690 and Grade I by Rs. 15,685.
The monthly salary of a Management Assistant will be increased by Rs 10,140 for Grade III, Rs 13,490 for Grade II and Rs 17,550 for Grade I.
The salary of Development Officers will be increased to Rs. 12,710, Rs. 17,820 and Rs. 25,150 for Grades III, II, and I.
The Grade 3 salary of Public Health Inspectors and Family Health Workers will be increased by Rs. 12,885, Grade II by Rs. 17,945 and Grade I salary will be increased by Rs. 25,275.
Grade 3 of Radiologists and Pharmacists will be increased by Rs. 13,280, Grade II by Rs. 18,310 and Grade I by Rs.25,720.
Grade III, II and I nurses’ salaries will be increased by Rs. 13,725, Rs. 18,835 and Rs. 26,165.
The salaries for school principals have been increased by Rs 23,425, Rs 29,935 and Rs 39,595 for III, II, I Grades.
The salaries of teachers have been increased under five categories. The salary of teachers of Colleges of Education has been increased by Rs. 17,480 and the salary of graduate teachers has been increased by Rs.19,055.
The salaries of Grade 2-11 have been increased by Rs. 20,425 , 2-11 Grade by Rs. 28,675 and Grade 1 by Rs. 38,020.
