Nugawela CC raring to go

13 November, 2016

Nugawela Central College who began to play cricket a decade ago has done exceptionally well playing in the SLSCA division two tournament. The are hoping to continue their good work this season too . The team is coached by Lalith Chandrasena while the side is led by Vickum Babunuarachchi . The team has done well with limited facilities and has produced a leg-spinner Saranga Rajaguru who represented Sri Lanka in the 2010 ICC Youth Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. Rajaguru later joined to St. Anthony’s College Katugasthota. Another bowler Dileepa Lakshan a Lahiru Samarakoon have joined differfent schools. Being a mixed school it is heartening to see even the enthusiasm among the girls for sports is very high.
