15 year old Vinod Rangana of Royal College, Gannoruwa received the DAN 2 Black belt from SOKE.KAICHO.KUNIAKI NOBUKAWA – Dan 9 black belt of Japan at the recently concluded ‘Karate Festival’ held at the Sugathadasa Stadium,Colombo. Rangana was one of the seven to receive this prestigious Belt out of 36 contenders from India, Japan and Sri Lanka.
Early this year Rangana won the ‘DAN 1’ Karate title showing his skills. He started his Karate career in 2011 under Master C.K.Silva and later he came under Priyantha Gunasekera and continued Karate and so far he has won Twenty Karate Trophies.
