An Islamic religious observances was held at the Colombo Grand Mosque to mark the 69th Independence Day yesterday. Here Moulavi Abdur Rahuman Hafiz conducts the prayers. Minister of Posts, Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs, M.H.A. Haleem, State Minister A.H.M. Fowzie, Mujeebur Rahuman MP, Imran Mahroof MP, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohamed Zahri Ameerani, Ministry Secretary, D.G.M.V. Hapuarachchi, Grand Mosque President, Nadvi Bahudeen and Secretary, Thowfeek Zubair were also present.
