The public will be able to apply for Police clearance reports through the official Sri Lanka Police website from March 7 onwards. Police sources said the new online system will help expedite the current system of issuing clearance reports,.
The website has been developed in collaboration with the Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) and the Police Information Technology Division.
According to the Police media unit the public can access the service through their personal computers or mobiles by visiting www.police.lk and submitting the applications for police clearance certificates online.
Payments related to the issuance of the certificate also can be made through direct bank deposits or mobile online payment methods, the Police said. The launch of the new service will be held on March 7 under the auspices of Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara at the Police Headquarters.
