Guangxi Medical University (GXMU), founded on the 21st November 1934, is located in ‘Green City’ Nanning in Guangxi, and is one of the oldest higher education medical institutions in China.

The GXMU is one of the earliest 22 medical institutes in China, and one of the 8 firstly accredited medical universities by government to enroll international students.

The school has 1,178 full-time teachers. There are 14,396 full-time students, including, 7,101 undergraduate students, 2,948 master degree’s students, 253 doctoral students, and 754 international medical students.

GXMU is one of the key prestigious universities in Guangxi and is also a base for medical education, medical research as well as clinical and preventive medicine. GXMU plays a leading role in the field of hemoglobin research, snake venom research, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, liver cancer prevention study, gynecological oncology, liver transplantation, etc.

Since the 1980 the school has sent most of the teachers to western countries and given them teaching training.

Some of the facilities include 20 stories students’ dormitory with modern facilities on the University premises. Other advantages include affordable tuition fees and health insurance.
