Nineteen year old Hasini Ambalangodage participating at the 65th National Badminton Championship came up with a pleasing performance to enter two finals yesterday at the Royal Indoor Sport Complex.
-Hasini playing in the Women’s Open semi-final against Kavidi Ishadika beat her in straight sets to reach the final. On Friday she won her semi final match and made her way to the final of the Girls Under 19 event as well.
In the men’s singles first semi final Buwaneka Goonetilleke outplayed Vibavi in straight sets to enter the final, while in the second semi final national champ Dinuka Karunaratne beat Sachin Dias to make his way to the final.
