Dialog Champions League - 2017 : Java Lane SC hold Blue Star SC to a 1-1 draw

The ‘Dialog’ Champions League match between Java Lane SC and Blue Star SC ended in a one all draw. The match was played at the City Football Complex in Colombo on Wednesday.

Java Lane SC got in to the lead in the 17 minute goal by Mohamed Shafraz and the teams left for the pavilion with Colombo Club in the lead. Kalutara Boys played gallantly after the return and never let their opponents increase their lead any further.

However their efforts were fruitful when D.H. Roger managed to find the equalizer just five minutes away from the final whistle 1-1.

Sailors down Police SC (3-1)

In another game SL Navy defeated Police by 3goals to 1 on the same day at the Welisara, Navy ground. For winners two goals were scored by N.M. Meera (17th & 58th minutes) and D. Madusanka netted the third goal (85th minute). The solitary goal for the losers came from the boot of P. Priyankara in 28th minute of the game.

Referee had to warn with the Yellow card on N.M. Meera, A. Chathuranga of Navy and K. Lankeshwara of Police for rough play.

NYSC - Crystal Palace a draw

Negombo Youth SC vs Crystal Palace “Dialog Champions League’ match ended in a two all draw at the Kelaniya Football Complex groun.

At the half way mark too both sides were on equal terms with the score reading 1-1. The second session of play also produced only two goals from both sides which made the final score two all. BP

E. Isaac Aba scored 2 goals in the 24th & 75th minutes for Crystal Palace while for NYSC goals came from the boots of Harindra Peiris and Niluk Janitha in 30th and 47th minutes.
