An All Island seven-a-side softball cricket tournament named as ‘Buddy Cricket Tourney’ organized by Nawagamuwa Cricket Club is to take place on May 5 as a day-night event.
The tourney will be played at Siri Sumanatissa Vidyalaya ground and is organized in memory of members of the Club P. Somasiri, Tissa Dharmatilleke, Prasanna Rajapakse and Sarath Batawela.
The winner and two runners up will be entitled to Trophies and cash awards of Rs. 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 respectively while there will be special awards for Player of the Series, Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Man of the Final according to the organisers.
