Shivantha Vivekanandan was elected as first life member of the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricketers Association (SLDCA) at their annual general Meeting held recently at the De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa. He was an outstanding personality and president of the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricketers Association from 2007 to 2015 where played a major role in promoting leather ball tournaments organised by Sri Lanka Cricket as well as the foreign tours to play cricket matches in the Deaf Cricket Asia Cup Tournaments.
He attended the Deaf International Cricket Council Annual General Meetings at Dubai in 2013 and Sri Lanka in 2017 where he was selected a committee member of the DICC. He is the current consultant for the Sri Lanka Deaf Cricketers Association.
