Rear Admiral Jagath Jayantha Ranasinghe, Vice Chancellor of Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) has been appointed Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy.
An old boy of Ananda College, Colombo he joined the Sri Lanka Navy in 1984 as a Cadet Officer.
He has been decorated in appreciation of his service to the motherland.
