S. Thomas’ College Gurutalawa won the Gold Star at the Under-14 All Island Hockey Carnival 2018 conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association which was held at the Vincent Dias Stadium in Badulla.
The Gurutalawa Thomians were unbeaten in their group and scored the maximum possible number of 12 points with a total of 11 goals against their opponents. Shaheed Khan the captain scored nine goals while Tharusha Nethmal scored two goals.
S. Thomas’ Gurutalawa has been a leading hockey school throughout the years and lived up to their image.
